Week 8 is here! A brand new selection of 7 Spanish Short Films to help during the quarantine. Here we go: #CinemaAtticCuarentena Week 8, brought to you by CinemaAttic, Instituto Cervantes, Spain Culture & Science UK and now also with the support of Film Hub Scotland. Every week, we share a new Programme of 7 Spanish Short Films available with English subtitles online. The Films are available until Sunday on our website and in the Facebook event Week 8 | CinemaAttic Cuarentena Shorts where you can watch them, vote and comment for your favorites.

Every Sunday at 1pm, we wrap up the week together with #CinemaAtticVermouth / Un Vermut con CinemaAttic , a relaxed live conversation with some of the directors on CinemaAttic’s Facebook channel.

A programme full of masters and visionaries that shook Spanish cinema as we knew it. Pioneering directors of the so-called “Otro Cine Español.” finding new ways of filmmaking rebelling against the established rules (Elias Siminiani, Chema García Ibarra, Colectivo Los Hijos) coexist with established directors like the 10-Goya winning directors Jose Mari Goenaga, Jon Garaño and Aitor Arregui. We also take the chance to reclaim fresh new talent straight from the film school like Scottish/Spanish talent Inma de Reyes and Catalan Damia Serra. All garnished with the icing on the cake: a very typical Spanish film, a small animated surrealist portrait of Spain by our beloved Coke Riobóo .

This week is shown four times from four different audiovisual perspectives which try to analyze the relationship between film author and landscape representation.
