New Week, New Programme. And what a programme! A brand new selection of 7 Spanish Short Films to help during the quarantine. Here we go: #CinemaAtticCuarentena Week 7, brought to you by CinemaAttic, Instituto Cervantes, Spain Culture & Science UK and now also with the support of Film Hub Scotland. Every week, we share a new Programme of 7 Spanish Short Films available with English subtitles online. The Films are available until Sunday on our website and in the Facebook event Week 7 | CinemaAttic Cuarentena Shorts where you can watch them, vote and comment for your favorites.
Al loro! Watch out for this programme!. Some really good stuff innit. We’ve put together some of the most exciting rising stars of Spanish cinema (Carla Simon, Adrian Orr, Ian Garrido) together with classic cult Goya-winning directors of recent Spanish Short Film history (Esteban Crespo, Toni Bestard, Anna Solanas & Marc Riba). Directors with a distinctive unique vision, the latter were crucial to understand Spanish independent cinema during the 00s, the former of those are some of the directors we think will make noise in years to come. Indie stars widely recognised as Carla Simon (Summer 1993) and others yet to be discovered by the wider public like Adrian Orr (Niñato) or Ian Garrido (co-writer of latest Spanish TV hit Veneno). Social realism, magic realism and pure braw comedy on equal parts. Enjoy the ride!
Every Sunday at 1pm, we wrap up the week together with #CinemaAtticVermouth / Un Vermut con CinemaAttic , a relaxed live conversation with some of the directors on CinemaAttic’s Facebook channel.
