We’re kicking off the season with plenty to look forward to! We hope you all had a beautiful summer and a fantastic Festival season. Now we’re ready to start this month of September with some exciting news and screening events! 🎥
First of all, we have a big update: we’re bringing CinemaAttic to a new venue in Leith, the North & South Church. Our first event there will be on the 19th of September!
Young Hearts, Strange Worlds (SHORT FILM PROGRAMME)
September’s Back: Young Hearts, Strange Worlds brings together seven short films about young people standing at the edge of change, caught between the worlds they inherit and the ones they dream into existence.

We’re also excited to announce two special screenings in partnership with Sea Change Film Festival.
Manel Grau, a customs officer at a border town, decides to help groups of Jews fleeing Nazi-occupied France. Even though he soon garners the support of the other villagers, Manel realises that he’s jeopardising what he loves most: his family.
According to some sources, around 40,000 Jews snuck across the border between France and Spain during the Second World War.
