Volunteer with us!

We are looking for new volunteers based in the Edinburgh or Glasgow areas to support our year-round programme of events, as well as the upcoming Catalan film festival. Volunteering with CinemaAttic is a great way to meet like minded people, gain experience working in film events and festivals, and of course enjoy some great cinema. We organise events at least once per month in both Edinburgh and Glasgow, with our next events due to take place at the end of January, warming up for the Catalan Film Festival at the end of March.

Duties at our events include things such as helping run a box office, selling tickets, setting up venues, collecting audience feedback, and responding to queries. We are also happy to hear about any other interests you may have as a volunteer, eg assisting with photography/videography, producing social media content, or anything else that you would be keen to learn more about in our work.

Anyone helping at a CinemaAttic event receives free entry to watch the film – duties are only before and after screenings.

We hope that CinemaAttic volunteers will match some of the following criteria:

  • Have an interest in cinema from Latin America and the Iberian Peninsula, and in the many different cultures from these regions
  • Want to gain experience working in arts and culture events
  • Wants to gain an understanding of how film festivals and screenings are run
  • People who are friendly and willing to work as part of a team

If you are interested, please fill in this short application form and we will be in touch as soon as possible.
