We are all about collaboration. It has become increasingly regular in the last year that someone calls saying “Hey Cinemaattic we love what you do, let’s work together”.

FILM PROGRAMMING. Our persistence in thematic highly-curated programmes of films was appreciated by many festivals in 2018 inviting us to curate strands, collaborative screenings, and retrospectives for their festivals. In 2018 we worked together with Instituto Cervantes Manchester, Take One Action Film Festival, Manipulate Festival, Into Film Festival, Edinburgh Jazz & Blues Festival, Femspectives Festival amongst others.

We are currently guest resident programmers at Neu Reekie! responding every month to their eclectic cocktails of poetry, live music and spoken word with short-film, experimental film and artistic animation. In 2019, we already worked with LeithLate, Femspectives, Look a Book!, University of Edinburgh Exhibitions, Slow Food Glasgow and that’s just the beginning.

Film doesn’t happen in a vacuum and so we love to connect great films with Jazz programmes, Contemporary dance, Literature and books, exhibitions like National Galleries of Scotland’s Warhol/Paolozzi, feelings, moods and forms. We love to respond to the thematic / aesthetic challenges of partners. We love to see how a specific film can acquire new meaning presented with other art disciplines. We like to see that collaborations “make sense” and our proposals fit with the Festival’s themes on the organisation ethos.

FILM PROGRAMMES & PACKAGES. We attend festivals and know what is the latest shout out there in short-film, documentary and independent cinema. We like to spend time thinking what’s the best film for your type of event. We also have packages of short-films and features: Films & Jazz, Modern Spanish Animation, Female Gazes, Animation from Colombia, Directed by Women, Creative Documentary, Experimental animation, Cult Classics, Resistencia & Human Rights, Goya Winners, and different thematic programmes. Get in touch and we can send you our Programming brochure with all the packs info@cinemaattic.com

TALKS, MASTERCLASSES. Film conversation is essential for us and we have developed an agenda of Masterclasses and Directors’ Talks with some of Scotland’s main universities and educational centres

  • Scottish Documentary Institute

  • Edinburgh College of Art – Animation

  • Edinburgh College of Art – Film & TV

  • University of Glasgow – Film & Media / Modern Languages

After years programming high-quality specialised international cinema we are thrilled with this new part of our activity, as we are increasingly invited by Scottish and international organisations to programme strands/sections of their festivals.
