As lockdown gets stricter and the beginning of the year looks gloomy, here comes the CinemaAttic rescue team once again to brighten up that January blues! We’re back. New year, new spirit, same objective = sharing brilliant films together.

CinemaAttic Returns online on January 22nd with a bigger and better programme of international short films and a renovated sense of digital community.

i-Sapiens. Evolution in the Digital Era

Short Films on Humans and Screens. 2020 was a strange year, one in which screens became a necessary evil to live experiences, to talk with the family, attend gigs or watch films. The incursion of screens in our everyday life has gone even deeper, shaping the way we look at the world and the way we understand human interaction.

Our first programme of the year is a brilliant selection of films reflecting on our relationship with screens.

How has the presence of phones, screens and apps changed the way we look at the world around us, the way we inhabit the public space, the way we meet and relate to each other? A programme of films rethinking the way human behavior has changed since the appearance of mobile phones and the way new generations communicate through it. The selection includes Goya Awards 2021 nominated short films like A la Cara or Beef, as well as perspectives from China, Brazil and Chile. Dark perspectives and unimagined positive takes on the proliferation of screens in our lives.
