An evening of Italian and Spanish short films go head to head! This September CinemaAttic has challenged the good people of Cinetopia to a short film duel. Each exhibitor will show a selection of short films, 3 from Spain (CinemaAttic) and 3 from Italy (Cinetopia). Will Cinetopia take up the gauntlet? Well, of course they will, e con gusto!
The challenge is as follows:
3 shorts from each country
Small tasters will be available – 1 dish from Spain and 1 dish from Italy
The audience gives each film rating (Between 1 and 5)
Two awards to be won – Best Country and Best Film
CinemaAttic calls on its loyal supporters to come and help us overcome this challenge. We fear nothing from any Rossellini, Antonioni, Fellini or Tornatore they want to throw at us.
Cinetopia extends their call to arms to the whole of Edinburgh to come and show support for their love of Italian cinema, and we won’t be afraid of any Almodovars or Buñuels they want to swing at us.
The Venue will be CinemaAttic’s old HQ @ Old St Paul’s in Jeffrey Street. The date is 13th of September 2019. Doors will open at 7pm, aiming to start at 7:30.
